About Us
Fables and Fools is the conglomeration of two bands who, simply put, love to play music —The Travis Prinzi Band and Rusty Kettle. This new project focuses on our original music. We will, of course, continue to play our retooled covers of classic rock, country, and fiddle-driven folk favorites that you’ve come to love and expect from these two bands. As always, there will be a little bit of stomp and holler.
Band Members
Andrea Burke
Vocals, Bodhran, Keyboard - Andrea is one of the band’s writers and leads the band with her powerful, soulful voice. The rhythm of the bodhran drives the songs along and provides a unique sound to the local area music scene.
Travis Prinzi
Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin - Travis started playing guitar with a Bob Dylan songbook, and his love for writing and singing folk songs took off from there. He is one of the band’s songwriters and is trying hard to keep up with Andrea’s songwriting pace.
Abbey Gebel
Fiddle, Tambourine - Abbey has been playing violin since she was 2 years old, so that means she’s pretty good. Nothing is more vital to a F&F show than the moments Abbey takes off on a fiddle tune or covers some great solo you’re used to hearing on a guitar.
Jedediah Burke
Guitar, Mandolin, Vocals, Harmonica - Along with bringing rich, full vocals to the band’s sound, Jed is our most diverse instrumentalist. We didn’t add Jaw Harp to last list above, but he plays it.
Brad Prinzi
Bass, Vocals - Brad has been playing bass and singing harmonies with Travis since they were teenagers. There’s something about brothers doing harmony that really works, and you’ll hear some great vocals from the brothers at F&F shows.
